Thanks to everyone who attended the 8th QUOD Symposium on 27 March, 2025
Attendees from across the UK and beyond had the opportunity to look to the future, focusing on vision and innovation for the next 5 years.
We heard two stimulating panel discussion sessions, featuring researchers from academia and industry, focused on emerging research needs and showcasing the potential, through collaboration, to accelerate clinical translation across organs. We delved into the role of AI and Big Data in health research and transplantation, offering valuable insights. We learned from the UK Biobank, about scale, depth, duration, but most importantly, accessibility. Early career researchers shared how using the QUOD biobank has facilitated their higher degrees and research fellowships, and we gained insight into the impressive work being done by the SNODs. All that was presented at the Symposium has only been possible thanks to the contributions and commitment of everyone involved.
We hope you enjoyed the day and had the opportunity to meet and connect with the wider QUOD community.
Looking ahead, QUOD wants to ask all Symposium participants and researchers who have used or plan to use QUOD samples for their research to complete a short survey that will help us to adjust to the future scientific needs and support scientific innovations.
