All QUOD samples (blood, urine, and tissue) are processed, stored, and prepared for distribution in our laboratory at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
The laboratory is equipped with many machines, including a tissue processing machine, an embedding centre, two microtomes, microscopes, and a tissue slide staining facility. All of these play a part in creating different sample types to broaden the possibilities of different research projects, while maintaining the high quality of the samples.
Distribution takes place from Oxford and is subject to approval by the QUOD Steering Committee, which takes place during the application process.
