Oxford Transplant Biobank Coordinator
I assist with the management of the QUOD biobank and the Oxford Transplant Biobank (OTB). The OTB a repository of biological samples that supports research into improving transplant outcomes.
I work closely with a team of technicians to obtain samples and clinical data from living kidney donors and kidney recipients (of living and deceased organ donors). These samples are then processed, stored, and tracked according to developed standard operating procedures. Recruitment for the OTB started in 2016, with the first collection taking place in June 2016.
