QUOD Consortium

The Consortium concerns two major entities, i.e. The University of Oxford (Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences), the ‘host’, and NHS Blood & Transplant (NHSBT), the ‘funder’. For operational purposes, the host subcontracts the QUOD ‘partners’, which are collaborating Universities and/or University Hospitals. In the contract between host and funder, respective responsibilities and tasks are stipulated.

The Consortium constitutes all members involved in operational or scientific aspects of the QUOD programme.

The Consortium is addressed yearly at the annual Symposium and via QUOD Newsletters, published three times per year. The Consortium does not carry any voting or decision making rights.

The SC is responsible for feedback to the Consortium on decisions including, but not limited to:

  • Major protocols amendments
  • Milestones, donor recruitment rates
  • Awards of specific projects
  • Funding applications and awards
  • Collaborations with industry
  • Reports on Serious Adverse Events (SAE)
  • QUOD related applications
