Jon assists with the management of both QUOD and the Oxford Transplant Biobank (OTB). The OTB a repository of biological samples which supports research looking at improving transplant outcomes.
With a team of technicians, samples and clinical data are obtained from living kidney donors and kidney recipients (of living and deceased organ donors). These are then processed, stored and tracked according to developed standard operating procedures. Recruitment for the Oxford Transplant Biobank started in 2016 with the first collection taking place in June 2016.
